Passenger Terms

These terms cover a trip you book through a transportation company that uses RydGenie. Please read the cancellation and refund terms in section 7 carefully.

Run a fleet?

If you are a transportation operator subscribing to RydGenie, your agreement is the Terms & Conditions, not this page.

1. Who these terms are with

You are booking a trip with a transportation company — the operator. The operator performs the trip, holds the fare and is who your contract for the journey is with.

RenzaGroup makes RydGenie, the software the operator uses to quote, book, dispatch and bill. These terms cover your use of that software and set out how booking through it works. By requesting a quote, booking a trip or creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Who performs your trip

The trip is performed by an independent, licensed and insured transportation operator — not by RenzaGroup. The operator is responsible for the vehicle, the driver and the safe performance of your trip, and holds the operating authority and insurance it runs under.

Where the operator’s own published terms differ from these on a matter that is theirs to decide — the fare, what is included, cancellation windows, conduct rules for their vehicles — the operator’s terms govern.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell the operator, or us at support@renzagroup.com, promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You must be at least 18 to hold an account. A minor may travel as a passenger on a booking made by an adult.

4. Quotes and reservations

  • A quote is an estimate based on the details you supply and is valid for the period stated on it. It is not a confirmed booking.
  • A reservation is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation number.
  • If the actual trip differs from what you booked — extra stops, additional waiting, a longer route, a different vehicle — the final charge may differ from the quote. Any such change is itemised on your invoice.
  • Quoted times are estimates. Traffic, weather and flight schedules affect them, and neither the operator nor we guarantee arrival at a specific time.

5. Pricing and charges

Fares are set by the operator, not by RenzaGroup. All prices are shown in US dollars and, unless stated otherwise, exclude gratuity, tolls, parking and applicable taxes. Charges the operator may add to a trip include:

  • Waiting time beyond the included grace period.
  • Additional stops not included in the original booking.
  • Airport, venue, tolls and parking fees.
  • Cleaning fees for damage or excessive soiling, charged at cost.
  • Gratuity, where included by default or added by you.

6. Payment

Card payments are processed by Stripe into the operator’s own account. The operator is the merchant of record, and the charge that appears on your statement is theirs. By providing a payment method you authorise the operator to charge it for the amounts due, including charges that arise during or after the trip as described in section 5.

The operator may authorise a hold on your card before the trip and capture the final amount after it completes. Invoices issued on account terms are due as stated on the invoice.

7. Cancellations and refunds

Your operator sets these terms and issues any refund. The cancellation window and any fee are shown before you book and repeated on your confirmation — those are the terms that apply to you. Where your operator has not published different terms, the platform default below applies to bookings made through the portal.

  • More than 24 hours before pickup — cancel at no charge; any deposit is refunded in full.
  • Within 24 hours of pickup — up to 50% of the trip total may be charged.
  • No-show, or cancellation after the driver has been dispatched — the full trip total may be charged.
  • Cancelled by the operator — you are refunded in full, with no fee.

Hourly charters, weddings, multi-vehicle bookings and peak dates commonly carry different terms; these will be stated on your quote before you accept it.

To cancel, use the booking portal or contact the operator you booked with — their details are on your confirmation. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days once the operator issues them.

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, raise it with the operator first; they hold the payment and can correct it. If you cannot reach them, email support@renzagroup.com and we will help you get to the right person. Please try both before disputing the charge with your bank — it is usually faster.

8. Passenger conduct

For everyone’s safety, passengers must wear seat belts, follow the driver’s reasonable instructions, and comply with all applicable law. The following are prohibited:

  • Illegal drugs, and alcohol where the vehicle or law does not permit it.
  • Smoking or vaping, unless the vehicle is expressly designated otherwise.
  • Exceeding the vehicle's stated passenger capacity.
  • Threatening, harassing or endangering the driver or other passengers.

A driver may end a trip early where conduct is unsafe or unlawful. In that case the full fare remains payable. You are responsible for damage caused by you or your party, charged at documented cost by the operator.

9. Text messages

If you opt in, the operator sends you trip-related text messages from its own number, under a programme named after it. Consent is not a condition of booking, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time. The full programme terms are in the SMS Terms.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service unlawfully, or to arrange anything unlawful.
  • Interfere with, probe or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.
  • Scrape, resell or redistribute pricing, availability or other content without permission.
  • Submit false information, or book on someone else's payment method without authority.

11. Disclaimers

Except as expressly stated, the software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that estimated times or prices will prove exact.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RenzaGroup is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or missed connections, flights or events, arising from your use of the software.

Our total liability for any claim relating to a trip is limited to the amount you paid for that trip. This section limits our liability only — it does not limit the operator’s liability to you for the transportation itself, which is a matter between you and them.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes with RenzaGroup will be brought in the courts located there, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction. A dispute about the trip itself is between you and the operator, under whatever law and forum their terms specify.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date and, where required, notified to you. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms. The terms that apply to a booking are those in force when you made it.

15. Contact

For anything about a trip — a change, a cancellation, a charge — contact the operator you booked with; their details are on your confirmation.

For the software itself: RenzaGroup. Email support@renzagroup.com, or support@renzagroup.com for legal notices, or call (323) 327-6009.
